The Quantitative Researcher, Senior Associate role at Blackstone Credit & Insurance involves building and managing systematic investment portfolios within a high-performing investment team. The candidate will collaborate with senior researchers and portfolio managers to enhance existing investment models and conduct market analysis. This position focuses on developing new credit signals and products while supporting client-driven analysis. The role is based in either New York or San Francisco and does not offer remote options.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience working with systematic portfolios and portfolio analysis.
- Prior experience with large data sets and sophisticated analysis.
- Domain experience with credit and rates.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent decision-making skills and a focused attention to detail.
- Significant experience with programming in Python, SQL, and Excel.
- Familiarity with AI foundational models, machine learning, and neural networks is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct data validation, analytics, and model output review.
- Perform portfolio and risk analysis.
- Develop credit signals and conduct competitor research.
- Optimize and calibrate portfolios.
- Engage in trading research and modeling.
- Model hedging exposures and PnL.
- Assist with client reporting, content, and performance attribution analysis.
- Analyze market conditions and manage reporting on market news and events.
- Create model management tools to identify risks and prioritize research.
- Develop dashboards and interactive GUI for portfolio management.
- Support product development and collaborate with client development.
- Partner with portfolio managers and operations support as needed.
