The role is for a Cloud Engineer within the Core Engineering team at Goldman Sachs, focusing on building and managing cloud-native solutions. Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience with at least 3+ years of familiarity with AWS services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Strong networking background including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
- Proficient using relational and NoSQL database technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work on various components as a Software Engineer within the Cloud Infrastructure team.
- Contribute to the specification, development, testing, and release of new features.
- Build services to integrate on-premises systems with public cloud providers.
- Manage the full lifecycle of software components from requirements through release.
- Collaborate with globally-distributed cross-functional teams to build customer-centric products.
- Help communicate and promote best practices for public cloud application development.
