Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Civil or Environmental Project Engineer to join their Texas offices, focusing on sustainable design and engineering solutions for various sectors including oil, gas, and industrial. This mid to senior level role involves direct client interaction and the management of technical deliverables. The successful candidate will be part of a growing Environmental Business Line, working on projects such as landfills, wastewater systems, and environmental restoration. The position requires a combination of engineering design, permitting, and field engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to obtain licensure in Texas
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with industry software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic models
  • Working knowledge of earthwork, grading, and slope design principles
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering designs, analyses, specifications, and construction documents for various civil and environmental projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
  • Interface directly with clients and manage project delivery using Arcadis resources.
  • Review technical data such as maps, drawings, and soil reports to inform design decisions.
  • Participate in site visits with estimated travel up to 25% and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Support construction management activities, including oversight of construction and maintenance efforts.
