Job description

The Sponsored Products and Brands team at Amazon Ads is focused on transforming the advertising landscape using generative AI technologies. This role involves significant contributions to the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, and operational support. The team is dedicated to developing innovative AI solutions that enhance the shopping experience and meet the needs of advertisers. Candidates will work collaboratively with data scientists and product managers to drive improvements in design and development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Background in advertising technology or e-commerce platforms
  • Demonstrated track record of innovative AI solution development
  • Experience with generative model architectures

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Solve difficult software challenges using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Demonstrate operational excellence and ensure root causes of issues are identified and resolved.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide meaningful feedback to raise the bar.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and product managers on machine learning experiments.
  • Establish best practices and drive improvements in design, development, and operations.
  • Mentor junior engineers in design, coding, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.
