Job description

This role is part of a security team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focused on building and supporting security services for internal systems and networks. The team prioritizes customer trust and aims to create user-friendly security solutions. Candidates should be passionate about security and possess a current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position involves working within a DevOps engineering team to enhance existing security services and address new initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or A+ or CND or Network+ or Security+ certification.
  • 1+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
  • 1+ years of technical troubleshooting or support experience.
  • 1+ years of networking experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services.
  • Experience with systems administration on either Linux/UNIX or Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and maintain security services used internally to support the US intelligence community.
  • Work backwards from the customer to ensure services are developed with features that meet end user needs.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
