Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Software/CAD Automation Engineer to enhance productivity and efficiency in custom circuit designs. The role involves collaboration with multi-functional teams to ensure robust designs that impact all product lines. The engineer will automate design tasks and improve workflows using vendor EDA tools. Requirements

  • MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience; PhD preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in VLSI CAD flows and methodology
  • Prior experience and background in VLSI is required
  • Good programming skills in multiple languages such as C++, Tcl, Python, and Makefile
  • Good interpersonal skills, quick learner, proactive, innovative, and highly motivated

Responsibilities

  • Work within a multi-functional team on various projects involving Pre-silicon and Post Silicon hardware design and related data
  • Support circuit design engineers to automate typical design tasks and improve efficiency
  • Build flows and methodology around vendor EDA tools and design collaterals to streamline design and verification workflows
  • Work closely with design engineers to support the existing development infrastructure and identify possible improvements
  • Employ good software engineering practices to develop complex and scalable systems
