Job description
NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Hardware Test Engineer to oversee and manage the global hardware infrastructure for silicon validation. This role involves debugging complex hardware systems and collaborating with various teams to ensure the functionality and integrity of hardware and software. The engineer will be part of the Silicon Co-design Group, focusing on productizing NVIDIA's chips for various applications. The position requires innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to lead initiatives for optimizing farm processes.
Requirements
- B.E/B. Tech in ECE or equivalent experience with 5+ years of experience in the HW/Silicon domain
- In-depth knowledge of various motherboard platforms, SoCs, PC Hardware and components, and network connections
- Strong expertise in diverse operating systems, particularly Linux OS internals and scripting capabilities in Python, Perl, and TCL
- Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate across global teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members
Responsibilities
- Oversee the functionality of Hardware Farm and perform hardware and software debugs involving various components.
- Create test plans and scripts to run sanity checks on farm systems, ensuring hardware and software integrity.
- Coordinate with global farm and silicon validation teams to ensure timely availability of farm systems.
- Collaborate with the Farm-Development team to enhance the farm process and infrastructure.
- Lead the development and implementation of automated monitoring and alert systems for real-time issue detection.
- Analyze farm performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and strategic improvements.
