Job description

As a Silicon Photonics PDK Design Engineer at Intel, you will be a key member of the SiP Process Development and Manufacturing team, focusing on the development and ownership of PDK infrastructure for optical interconnect products. Your role will involve collaborating with internal and external partners to evaluate technical requirements and priorities. You will also lead the development of software solutions and automation tools that support Electronic-Photonic design automation. This position is critical for driving innovation and growth in Intel's SiP foundry business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Electronic Design Automation Software Development focused on Physical Verification.
  • Expertise in industry standard integrated circuits design CAD tools such as Siemens Calibre and Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Software development experience in high-level languages like Perl, Python, Shell, TCL, or C++.
  • Familiarity with Analog IC or Photonic Integrated Circuit design concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and document pcell design and related user guides.
  • Develop and document design rule and physical verification runsets.
  • Automate EDA tool flows and ensure efficient cloud computing infrastructure.
  • Lead the development of Design Environment and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Engage with internal and external partners on technical requirements.
