Job description
This role involves partnering with domain experts to develop high-quality memory technology collaterals and drive circuit innovations for next-generation memory designs at Intel. The Advanced Design team focuses on pathfinding and development of advanced memory technology, enabling best-in-class memory collateral and innovative product design. The position requires collaboration with EDA vendors and product design teams to optimize power, performance, and area. The work directly supports Intel's mission to deliver high-performance, low-power memory products.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with 4 years of professional experience.
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in design, characterization, and verification of custom memory circuits such as SRAM, Register Files, or ROM.
- Knowledge of design trade-offs between power, performance, and area (PPA).
- Experience with custom digital circuit design, simulation, layout design, and verification.
- Familiarity with EDA tools used for custom digital and memory circuit design.
Responsibilities
- Conduct memory pathfinding activities and optimize power, performance, and area through design technology co-optimization.
- Perform memory bit-cell and complex periphery IC layout and automation.
- Design memory arrays and IP, as well as innovate memory circuits and design test-chips.
- Engage in pre-Si verification and post-Si validation to enable yield and parametric tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality memory technology solutions.
