This role is focused on developing and delivering networking architecture and system hardware initiatives within the AWS Infrastructure Services team. You will work alongside a diverse group of engineers and specialists to ensure the reliability and performance of AWS global infrastructure. The team is responsible for managing the hardware and software that powers the AWS network, which is rapidly expanding. You will be expected to troubleshoot issues, establish standards, and build automation for testing and validation.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience working on hardware design or product development
• 1+ years of experience with SQL, Python, or some other data analysis or automation tool
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 1+ years of computer networking experience or experience with network hardware such as copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, and routers
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience or experience in networking

• Develop, design, and deliver networking architecture and system hardware initiatives
• Establish standards and define guidelines for physical deployments at hyperscale data centers
• Build mechanisms to identify and remediate failures to improve the health of networking links
• Troubleshoot and resolve large scale issues impacting data center performance
• Conduct data collection and analysis to monitor and alarm on network, system, and link quality
• Build automation to improve testing and validation of networking hardware
