Job description

The ADC Engineer role at AWS involves helping U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions. The team focuses on deploying AWS Systems Manager services to air-gapped regions, supporting government customers in those areas. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, tackling unique technical problems while gaining experience in cloud computing. Candidates will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to operational scalability and world-class service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification.
  • 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues.
  • Develop monitoring solutions.
  • Perform software maintenance and configuration.
  • Implement fixes for internally developed code in languages such as Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java, or Python.
  • Update, track, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Work alongside development teams on AWS projects.
  • Update and enhance current software.
  • Automate support processes and document systems.
