The Senior Scientist – TSMS Laboratory Lead at Elanco will oversee the Technical Service Manufacturing Science Laboratory team in Elwood, Kansas. This role focuses on managing laboratory operations, optimizing monoclonal antibody processes, and ensuring technical excellence through collaboration. Requirements
- A Master's degree in Science, Pharmacy, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Technology is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in biotechnology downstream process development or manufacturing technology is necessary.
- Expertise in monoclonal antibody processing and Design of Experiments for control strategy development is essential.
- Proven project leadership skills and experience in managing laboratory resource allocation are required.
Responsibilities
- Directly manage and develop direct reports within the TSMS department.
- Lead the design and execution of complex Design of Experiments to expand site control strategies.
- Serve as a primary technical liaison across departments, ensuring transparent communication.
- Oversee laboratory maintenance, safety standards, and inventory management.
- Represent the TSMS lab during internal and external regulatory audits.
