The Tools and Automation Engineer will be part of a small but impactful group in iCloud, focusing on building high-quality automation frameworks and tools. This role involves contributing to automation initiatives across iOS, macOS, and Web, enhancing test coverage and engineering efficiency. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable automation solutions and improve product quality. A passion for software quality and solving complex engineering challenges is essential.

• 4+ years of experience in Software QA, test automation, or quality engineering.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
• Experience developing automated tests and tooling using Swift and/or Python.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using XCTest and Xcode.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building robust, maintainable, and scalable automation frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with API, integration, and UI automation testing strategies.
• Strong technical understanding across Apple platforms including iOS and macOS.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

• Develop, maintain, and evolve the test automation ecosystem for iCloud's core products.
• Contribute to automation frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure for reliable testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality.
• Debug complex issues across multiple layers of the stack.
• Continuously improve automation quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Apply AI-based tooling to areas such as automated test generation and failure analysis.
