The software developer role in the Alexa International Tech team focuses on building low-latency services optimized for performance to enhance customer interactions with Alexa. The team is composed of passionate builders who apply breakthrough technologies to solve complex real-world challenges. This position offers the opportunity to influence technical direction and best practices while working in an inclusive environment. Developers will engage in full stack software development and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Build low-latency services optimized for performance to meet customer interaction expectations.
- Own full stack software development and contribute to all aspects of the agile software development lifecycle.
- Deal with ambiguity in solving complex problems that have not been tackled at this scale before.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams aligned towards the same goals.
- Contribute to setting the team's technical direction, best practices, and future planning.
