Job description
The Amazon DynamoDB team is seeking software engineers with a team-first mentality to enhance one of the largest NoSQL database services. This role involves working on complex engineering problems in distributed systems at a massive scale. Engineers will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of features in the storage engine, ensuring high performance and durability. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Own everything from requirements gathering to design reviews and implementations
- Implement changes in Java/Rust to optimize replication and reduce latency
- Validate changes through capacity tests across various instance types
- Diagnose production issues in real-time across 30+ regions during on-call rotations
- Review teammates' code and contribute to designs spanning millions of nodes
