Job description
Apple is seeking a Component and MLB Quality Engineer with expertise in electrical design and component quality. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of semiconductor silicon ICs and requires collaboration across various organizations within Apple. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing quality and failure analysis, as well as experience with consumer circuit design. The position involves managing quality initiatives and working closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Requirements
- Strong background in electrical design and component quality.
- Experience in Fab Process Operations, Test, Design or Product Engineering, Reliability and/or Qualification.
- Broad IC packaging experience including WLCSP, SOC, and QFN.
- Solid knowledge and experience in Fab process and Package assembly.
- Excellent skills in failure analysis of systems, circuits, and their components.
- Familiarity with test strategies such as In-Circuit Testing and JTAG.
- Proven experience with quality metrics and SPC.
- Experience working with off-shore manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end proactive quality of semiconductor silicon ICs.
- Collaborate on quality initiatives across multiple organizations.
- Drive technical root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Identify risks and develop solid plans to mitigate them.
- Communicate technical details with precision and clarity.
- Transition new products into manufacturing effectively.
- Perform root cause findings and problem solving at manufacturing sites.
