The Dedicated Cloud Engineer role on the AWS Region Services team focuses on supporting cloud security services for the U.S. Intelligence Community. This position involves managing operational loads and automating processes to enhance service quality for security operations customers. The engineer will collaborate with security engineers and service development teams to maintain the security information and event management platform. Candidates must possess a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and be open to learning new technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 1+ years of systems administration (Linux/Windows) experience
• Experience working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 1+ years of cloud computing technologies experience
• 1+ years of networking and troubleshooting experience
• 1+ years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments experience
• Experience automating routine tasks

• Operate within the team of peer engineers with personal autonomy to solve complex systems engineering problems.
• Provide guidance on system architecture and recommend solutions in alignment with systems engineering best practices.
• Calmly and quickly diagnose and fix critical system failures in high pressure situations to reduce Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR).
• Engineer operational improvements to reduce operational efforts to Keep the Lights On.
• Troubleshoot unknown-unknown problems into known-known root causes using holistic knowledge of systems.
