Job description
The Security Engineer role at Apple involves working with a multi-functional engineering team to define, design, and verify security systems for innovative products. The position is part of the Platform Architecture organization, focusing on providing a robust security foundation for Apple's offerings. The Security Architecture team evaluates security threats, defines features, and architects solutions while collaborating with software and silicon teams. This role requires a blend of hardware and software expertise to ensure state-of-the-art security in various silicon chips.
Requirements
- BS in EE/CE, Computer Science or related engineering degree.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in definition of secure systems.
- Experience in threat modeling and weaknesses analysis.
- Experience with SoC architecture.
- MS or PhD in EE/CE, Computer Science or related engineering degree is preferred.
- Solid background of applied cryptography.
- Exposure to OS security.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Verilog/VHDL.
- Experience in C/C++ and interpretive languages such as Perl/Python.
