Job description

As a Hardware Development Power Engineer on the AWS Rack Power team, you will be responsible for the design, debugging, and validation of power systems. This role involves collaboration with hardware, firmware, and software teams to troubleshoot technical issues and improve product designs. You will contribute to the development of innovative power equipment that supports AWS services. The team values diverse experiences and encourages candidates from various backgrounds to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years of electrical engineering experience specifically in power electronics
  • Experience in hardware lab equipment such as digital scopes, logic analyzers, and soldering tools
  • Experience in automation testing
  • Experience designing, testing, and debugging power electronics such as AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC power conversion

Responsibilities

  • Design, debug, and validate power systems including battery management systems and power supplies
  • Own the product's end-to-end development cycle
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software development teams on troubleshooting technical issues
  • Design automation via test scripts and applications, and write test reports
  • Perform board level testing and functional verification of power sub-systems
