Job description

Apple is looking for a Senior Engineering Program Manager to join the Software/Firmware team focused on Beats audio products. This role involves managing and executing software and embedded firmware development projects throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in software project management. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders to deliver exceptional audio and accessory products.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 5-10 years of high-tech industry experience with a track record of hands-on work with software development teams.
  • 5 years of software or firmware program management experience in consumer product development.
  • History of managing products through the entire product development life cycle.
  • Experience working with offshore vendors and development teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams and interact effectively at all levels of management.
  • Knowledgeable of one or more technologies: wireless, DSP, battery, connectivity, UI/UX, and embedded software.
  • Familiarity with project management, bug management, and source code management tools.
  • M.S. is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, manage, and drive the end-to-end execution of software and embedded firmware development projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering design fields, QA teams, marketing, and factory testing.
  • Create exceptional audio, accessory, and home products.
  • Enable large cross-functional teams to deliver complex features and products.
  • Handle business relationships with suppliers and partners.
