Job description

The Staff Software Engineer for App Ads Privacy at Google will focus on building next-generation identity resolution and attribution systems. This role is part of the App Ads Privacy Team, which addresses industry shifts by designing privacy-focused infrastructure that enhances app performance while respecting user privacy. The engineer will work on complex measurement and performance challenges, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership to drive innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
  • Experience in working with advertising platforms.
  • Experience with data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers and external stakeholders to translate complex measurement and performance gaps into technical solutions.
  • Develop and scale privacy-preserving measurement features that ensure compliance with global regulations.
  • Lead technical alignments across product and infrastructure teams to integrate high-fidelity measurement signals.
  • Drive the long-term health and efficiency of high-traffic data pipelines by identifying and resolving monitoring issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers to ensure scalable and forward-looking designs.
