Job description

The Senior Civil Engineer will work within the Federal Buildings group at Jacobs, leading civil engineering efforts for facility planning and design projects. This role involves collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure project quality and client satisfaction. The engineer will also mentor junior staff and manage project teams, focusing on site development for military and federal facilities. Travel to project sites, including international locations, is expected as part of the role.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • At least 15 years of progressive responsibility and experience in site development projects
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Strong background in plan production and project execution while leading design teams
  • AutoCAD Civil3D design experience
  • United States Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Lead the civil engineering component of facility planning and final design projects.
  • Ensure overall project quality of civil engineering work performed.
  • Provide client service and manage project profitability.
  • Develop labor budgets for civil engineering design efforts.
  • Attend multi-discipline design meetings and interact with clients.
  • Mentor less experienced employees and manage civil design project teams.
  • Supervise topographic and utility survey teams as required.
