Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in HVAC/Mechanical buildings-related design projects
  • Experience working in a multi-discipline environment
  • Proficiency in load calculation and energy modeling software such as Trane Trace 700 or Carrier HAP
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • United States Citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall Conceptual and Basis of Design level design approaches and documentation.
  • Develop HVAC and plant utility systems philosophies.
  • Perform temperature, humidity control, and utility load calculations.
  • Develop airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, and ductwork and piping plans.
  • Manage and develop mechanical and utilities scope for project budgets and schedules.
  • Perform construction assistance including submittal reviews and field visits.
  • Direct activities of Revit Designers and utilize Revit as necessary.
  • Travel as required for client development and project implementation.
