The Continuous Compliance and Automation Engineer will join the Apple Services Engineering Privacy Compliance team to facilitate the transition from manual to automated compliance workflows. This role focuses on ensuring data governance and compliance operations align with regulatory standards such as GDPR and DMA. The engineer will work on enhancing compliance operations platforms and developing automated workflows to identify compliance gaps. Collaboration with compliance engineers and cross-functional teams is essential for supporting audits and maintaining data quality.

• 7+ years of experience in compliance engineering, data governance, GRC, or data platform engineering with strong automation expertise.
• Proven experience operationalizing privacy and regulatory requirements into technical controls and monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata management, policy enforcement, and control frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building operational compliance and governance dashboards using BI tools or web technologies.
• Working knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript to develop automation scripts and support compliance workflows.
• Ability to write production-grade SQL to query large-scale distributed data stores.
• Experience designing and deploying automated compliance workflows at scale.
• Familiarity with enterprise catalog tools such as Collibra, DataHub, or Unified Catalog.
• Experience with approval workflows, entitlement management, and access control systems.
• Prior experience supporting large-scale, multi-team governance or compliance programs.
• Exposure to AI/ML-based data classification or governance automation frameworks.
