Job description

The Senior Service Engineer role at Microsoft Digital focuses on delivering A365 and AI Administration for the M365 MultiTenant team. This position involves administering and defining configurations for the M365 admin surface and AI admin surface, including Microsoft 365 Copilot. The engineer will work closely with software engineers to drive automation and enforce policies at scale while maintaining a security mindset. The role requires collaboration across various M365 workloads and emphasizes operational excellence and governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical experience in relevant engineering roles.
  • 6+ years of professional service engineering experience with significant ownership of live production services.
  • Hands-on experience administering M365 at scale, including Microsoft Graph and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with administering AI capabilities in M365 or experience with new SaaS admin surfaces.
  • Experience with multitenant operations and enforcing baselines across M365 tenants.

Responsibilities

  • Administer A365 across many internal tenants, focusing on tenant configuration and admin policy.
  • Oversee AI capabilities in M365, including Microsoft 365 Copilot admin controls and governance.
  • Define baselines and operational requirements while partnering with software engineers to drive automation.
  • Monitor health and risk signals, triage incidents, and respond on call for owned surfaces.
  • Collaborate with M365 workload teams to implement necessary changes for admin and AI control planes.
