You will collaborate with various product development groups at Apple to integrate advanced hardware elements into cohesive designs. This position offers the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge 5G technologies and explore the engineering process from multiple perspectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Experience with Python, C/C++, and Matlab is necessary.
  • Knowledge of RF performance metrics such as EVM and spectral mask is essential.
  • Hands-on experience in bringing up RFIC in the lab is required.
  • Understanding of communication theory and signal processing is necessary.
  • MSEE is preferred.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP specifications is important.
  • Experience with silicon prototyping and emulation systems is required.
  • Familiarity with analytics platform software like Tableau or Spotfire is necessary.
  • Chipset industry working experience is preferred.
  • Working understanding of multiple 4G/5G signaling is required.
  • Experience in performance characterization of wireless systems focusing on PHY and RF layers is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience in cellular chipsets is required.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the bringup of the cellular end-to-end system including RF and system performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to validate data and control flows from Baseband to RF.
  • Measure, prioritize, and analyze important metrics data in the lab.
  • Conduct pre-silicon emulation-based bringup and validation of the cellular system.
  • Support and maintain high-quality daily firmware releases.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
