Job description

The role is focused on enhancing the security of Apple's product lineup by defining and maintaining platform-level security requirements. As a member of the Platform Architecture group, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of consumer devices. The position involves working with various security architects and researchers to design security solutions that improve the overall security profile of Apple's systems. This high-visibility role requires a strong commitment to user privacy and experience.

Requirements

  • BS degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
  • Experience working with basic cryptographic principles.
  • Experience with platform security primitives.
  • Experience in threat modeling of security features and architecture.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives to define and drive security features.
  • Experience with user identification and authentication technologies.
  • Experience with Operating System concepts and platform security concepts.
  • Basic experience with programming and/or auditing experience with Python, C, and Unix shell scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and define platform level security requirements for new products.
  • Define and maintain device-level security policies across multiple environments for existing products.
  • Drive adoption of platform level security architectures through cross-functional partnerships.
  • Lead cross-functional teams throughout the product development cycle.
  • Collaborate with other security architects and researchers to design security solutions.
