Job description

The Service Systems Engineer at KLA is responsible for optimizing tool serviceability and profitability through predictive data analytics and AI initiatives. This role involves collaboration with Tech Support, New Product Integration, and Division Engineering to enhance tool designs based on operational data. The engineer will focus on improving service predictability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The position is part of the KLA Services team, which is dedicated to maintaining high performance and productivity of products.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with no related work experience, Master's degree with 3 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related work experience is required.
  • Preferred degrees are in physics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of optics, electronics, high precision motion stages, and servo systems is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Drive design changes to optimize tool serviceability and cost-of-service.
  • Influence designers to include features that enhance service predictability and reliability.
  • Create prototype hardware and conduct testing to analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Leverage AI development tools to analyze large volumes of data and develop software features.
  • Design tools to improve the efficiency of Technical Support Engineers and other field personnel.
