Job description

This role is part of Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization, focusing on building solutions that integrate open source software with Apple's internal ecosystem. The AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) team is responsible for AI-powered innovation, data exploration, and analytics. The position involves developing high-quality, scalable applications on cloud infrastructure while collaborating with internal customers to enhance their experience. This challenging software engineering role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies and innovative data platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3 or more years of experience building enterprise-level data applications on distributed systems
  • Programming experience in Python, Scala, or Java
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud-based applications
  • Experience in cloud data warehousing platforms like Snowflake
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of new components and features from concept to release
  • Work closely with internal customers to understand their requirements and workflows
  • Design, build, test, and ship software solutions at a regular cadence
  • Tune and debug codebase while supporting production applications
  • Contribute to the success of various initiatives by learning new technologies
  • Develop highly optimized SQLs and procedures for distributed data applications
