Job description

The Principal Software Engineer - Architect role at Microsoft focuses on securing access to online resources by building and operating a world-class authorization platform. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Rust, Go, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Set direction of Authorization at Microsoft and partner with product management.
  • Design and develop features for large scale distributed software services.
  • Communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries.
  • Adhere to modern software engineering practices through design and code reviews.
  • Develop best-in-class engineering for services ensuring they are secure, reliable, and reusable.
  • Write clean and optimized code, improve test coverage, and resolve problem areas.
  • Focus on customer and partner needs through a data-driven approach.
