Rivian is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support the Product Development organization by architecting data foundations. This role involves bridging vehicle telemetry and high-stakes decisions that influence charging and battery operations. The ideal candidate will leverage large data sets to optimize products and processes while collaborating with various stakeholders. The position emphasizes building reliable data infrastructure to enhance decision-making in electric vehicle development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
- 0-4 years of experience building production data pipelines and developing AI/ML solutions.
- High level of programming proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with and a strong desire to master dbt and Databricks/Spark environments.
- Demonstrated experience with version control (Git) and understanding of model deployment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade data models in Databricks and dbt.
- Build reliable, fast, and dynamic data tools, pipelines, and automated workflows.
- Design and deploy clear, effective dashboards and apps in tools like Plotly Dash.
- Extract and contextualize complex data from telemetry and business systems.
- Implement software development best practices into the data lifecycle.
