The role is for a Software Engineer focused on building Generative AI experiences using state-of-the-art NLP and machine learning technologies. The team is responsible for the research, development, and deployment of ML/NLP technologies that enhance Apple Intelligence on devices and private cloud. Collaboration is key, as the engineer will work closely with various teams to create impactful applications. The position requires hands-on experience in NLP and software engineering, with a strong emphasis on productizing Generative AI features.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on NLP experience in conjunction with Software Engineering
- Experience writing production software in Swift, C/C++, Obj-C, or Python
- Good machine learning fundamentals
- B.S, M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- Hands-on experience in using open-source ML toolkits, such as PyTorch
- Hands-on experience with building NLP/Generative AI applications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with several engineering teams at Apple that work on machine learning and NLP
- Engage in text processing and empirical experimentation for building state-of-the-art NLP models
- Productize Generative AI features for Apple
