Job description
The role is focused on developing innovative camera hardware solutions within the Camera Hardware Engineering group at Apple. The team is responsible for designing and enhancing camera systems across various Apple products. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to evaluate performance specifications and translate complex system architectures into electrical requirements. The ideal candidate will bring creativity and technical expertise to tackle challenges in camera technology.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience validating electro-optical, electro-mechanical, or mixed signal systems.
- Experience with design of experiments or similar processes to troubleshoot or debug electrical problems.
- Experience with scripting in Python and/or MATLAB.
- Experience with measuring electrical components using instruments in the lab.
- MS/PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering and/or relevant industry experience.
- Experience with low-level programming and debugging for embedded development (C/C++) on MCU based systems.
- Experience with PCB design and debugging for hardware platforms containing drivers, converters, PMUs, or high-speed amplifier ICs.
- Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, layout, and component selection.
- Experience with electrical design, integration, and validation of camera and/or optical depth systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical, optical, firmware, product/test, and camera systems engineers.
- Evaluate performance specifications for camera hardware.
- Translate complex system architectures into electrical and IC requirements.
- Deliver innovative camera technologies into Apple products.
