Job description

The Security Adoption Engineer will work with engineering teams at Apple to enhance the adoption of internal security tools. This role requires guiding multiple teams simultaneously while improving the overall experience for future users. The engineer will bridge the gap between security products and engineering teams, ensuring effective communication and support. The ultimate goal is to streamline the adoption process and reduce the need for direct involvement over time as the product improves.

Requirements

  • Experience in a systems administration, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or production services role.
  • Practical familiarity with server-side environments including Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams independently.
  • Background in a customer-facing technical role such as technical account management or solutions engineering.
  • Experience working across many teams simultaneously in a consulting or enablement capacity.
  • A track record of identifying root causes of friction and advocating for structural fixes.
  • Familiarity with security concepts relevant to software infrastructure.
  • Exposure to how large organizations roll out internal tooling at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Guide engineering teams toward the adoption of Apple's security tools.
  • Prepare for meetings by asking the right questions and providing clear next steps.
  • Identify and prioritize teams based on their needs and constraints.
  • Package necessary resources to help teams overcome obstacles.
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to improve tooling and documentation.
  • Use field insights to enhance the onboarding experience for future teams.
  • Communicate patterns and insights across multiple engagements.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
