Job description

The CPU RTL Logic Design Engineer at Intel will play a crucial role in designing the next generation of high-performance microprocessors. This position involves hands-on RTL implementation and providing technical leadership to ensure the delivery of world-class products. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to define architecture features and optimize logic design for power, performance, and timing goals. This role is essential for driving innovation and enhancing the quality of technology that impacts everyday life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 12+ years of work experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years.
  • 6+ years of experience in silicon development in CPU microarchitecture and logic design.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership including delivering successful IP Projects.
  • 6+ years of experience with Timing Closure, Power Convergence, integer and/or floating point, OOO execution, reservation station design.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate, drive, and develop logic design, RTL coding, and simulation for a CPU.
  • Participate actively in defining architecture and microarchitecture features of the CPU.
  • Apply strategies and tools to write RTL and optimize logic to meet design goals.
  • Review the verification plan and implementation to ensure design features are verified correctly.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to the design team.
  • Work closely with architecture and backend teams to achieve best-in-class products.
  • Cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors.
