As a Sr Software Development Engineer on the Identity Analytics team, you will lead the data platform infrastructure that supports AI and analytics capabilities. The role focuses on designing and operating ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines for petabyte-scale data. You will collaborate with Applied Scientists to translate research prototypes into production systems. This position combines deep platform engineering with significant scientific impact, influencing how AWS Identity services evolve.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design, build, and operate scalable data ingestion, transformation, and loading pipelines for petabyte-scale Identity logs and metrics.
• Build and maintain the feature engineering infrastructure for transforming raw Identity data into structured datasets for ML.
• Drive platform resilience and operational excellence by designing for failure and building robust monitoring and alerting.
• Own key business goals and partner with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet or exceed those goals.
• Contribute to the team's technical direction through design reviews and code reviews.
• Mentor team members and assist in their career growth.
