Job description

The Environmental Compliance Engineer will be part of Apple's Environmental Technologies team, focusing on product-level compliance for hardware products. This role involves collaborating with product development teams to ensure adherence to worldwide environmental regulations and standards. The engineer will work on initiatives related to energy efficiency, sustainable materials, and safer materials. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, science, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in driving regulatory compliance projects
  • Project management experience with complex projects and tight timelines
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of consumer electronic product-related environmental regulations and standards
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with attention to detail
  • Self-starter with high integrity and a passion for environmental compliance

Responsibilities

  • Drive product-level compliance for hardware products during development
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams
  • Lead regulatory compliance projects with agencies and test labs
  • Participate in design reviews to advise on product compliance requirements
  • Engage directly with R&D teams on complex projects
  • Develop and execute test plans while troubleshooting compliance risks
