Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Documentation Engineer / Technical Writer to manage documentation as a product, focusing on developer documentation and maintaining the documentation toolchain. This hands-on role requires collaboration with engineers and product managers to ensure accurate and timely documentation. The position involves improving documentation workflows and identifying quality issues. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical writing skills and the ability to influence tooling and standards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technical writing or documentation engineering.
  • 5+ years of overall experience in developer documentation roles.
  • Experience working in docs-as-code environments using Git-based workflows.
  • Proficiency in Markdown or reStructuredText and modern documentation platforms.
  • Strong editing, information architecture, and content design skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own documentation for assigned products from initial requirements through publication and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, QA, and support to validate technical knowledge and ensure documentation readiness.
  • Build and evolve the docs-as-code platform, improving workflows and templates.
  • Identify documentation gaps and quality issues, driving them to closure through content fixes and tooling improvements.
  • Contribute to writing content, improving CI, and refining documentation workflows.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
