Job description

Join the Sensor Technology Team at Apple, where you will contribute to the development of innovative sensors for various platforms including Mac and Audio. This role involves specifying, developing, characterizing, and validating sensor systems from concept to product launch. You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that emphasizes engineering excellence and creativity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in capacitive touch sensors and experience in high-volume consumer product integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • Strong foundation in math, physics, and electrical engineering.
  • Experience with board-level analog and mixed-signal circuits or embedded systems.
  • Ability to independently resolve technical issues and coordinate across teams.
  • Experience in the architecture, design, characterization, and validation of sensing systems.
  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools such as MATLAB and SPICE.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python and statistical analysis software like JMP.

Responsibilities

  • Specify, build, and validate capacitive sensors for new product applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with test, firmware, system engineering, and product operations teams.
  • Leverage knowledge of product integration and manufacturing technologies to implement sensors.
  • Drive technical issues to resolution independently.
  • Conduct data analysis and apply critical thinking to solve engineering challenges.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
