Job description

In this role, you will be part of the Platform Architecture team at Apple, collaborating with hardware and software engineering groups to shape the architecture of future System-on-Chips (SoC). The position focuses on developing on-chip communication interconnect and memory Quality-of-Service features. You will create a full-chip C++ simulator for various Apple devices and model emerging workloads like Augmented Reality and Machine Learning. Your work will be crucial for driving architecture improvements in Apple's future products.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a relevant field
  • C++ programming experience
  • Coursework and/or experience in computer architecture and the HW/SW stack
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Cellular/5G modem architecture
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of on-chip communication interconnect and memory Quality-of-Service features.
  • Create a full-chip C++ simulator for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Watch SoCs.
  • Model new and emerging workloads such as Augmented Reality and Machine Learning.
  • Study performance and power trade-offs in the SoCs using developed models.
  • Analyze data, design experiments, and present results to drive architecture improvements.
