As a Framework Software Engineer in Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization, you will contribute to building tools and features for Data and Machine Learning platforms. The team focuses on AI-powered innovation, integrating data services and customer success functions to enhance efficiency and streamline generative AI adoption. You will tackle complex challenges and create high-quality software solutions under tight deadlines. This role emphasizes collaboration and imaginative problem-solving to extend the functionality of third-party business intelligence tools.

• 2+ years of hands-on proficiency with Java and/or Python or similar language
• Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Experience designing and developing scalable and performant micro-services and REST APIs
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
• Experience in building and deploying cloud-native applications/products
• Working experience with big data technologies and data platforms
• Familiarity in working with frontend frameworks
• Hands-on experience with distributed computing technologies
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores
• Prior experience in the areas of AI/ML/Data Sciences will be a strong plus

• Build various tools and features for Data and ML platforms including data processing and insights portal.
• Develop data observability, data lineage, model hub, and data visualization functionalities.
• Create custom solutions from the ground up or customize open-source products for Apple's needs.
• Collaborate with teams to tackle challenges and produce high-quality software.
• Extend the functionality of third-party BI tools using APIs.
