Job description

Amazon Security is seeking a Software Development Engineer to contribute to resource and application discovery initiatives. The role involves designing, building, and scaling front-end frameworks and back-end APIs for the Veritas service. The successful candidate will collaborate with diverse teams to drive product vision and technical implementation. This position offers the opportunity to influence product strategy and engage in complex system software development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Define product features and refine system architecture to influence product strategy
  • Design and implement significant portions of critical-path code
  • Collaborate on software design reviews with senior engineers
  • Deliver high quality software that is secure, testable, and maintainable
  • Analyze the overall health and performance of the system
