Job description

The Software Engineer role at Google focuses on enhancing the security of Google's production hardware by developing and managing foundational Root-of-Trust (RoT) identity services and firmware. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, Rust, or Go.
  • Experience in application security, cryptography, device security, and systems security.
  • Experience in firmware development, diagnostics, and hardware bring-up.

Responsibilities

  • Join a dedicated team of software engineers working on components that form the core of trust for Google's Data Centers.
  • Own critical work that includes writing firmware and software that integrates with the RoT features.
  • Collaborate with teams across Google to integrate products into Google's overall security strategy.
  • Design and develop new software and respective tests for iterations of Google hardware that integrates security products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met while delivering high-quality software and test iterations.
