The Senior Data Platform Engineer, AVP position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining high-performance data solutions. This intermediate-level role involves collaboration with the Technology team to establish and implement application systems that meet business needs. The engineer will utilize their expertise in data engineering to analyze complex problems and recommend solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and big data technologies.

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
• Expertise in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Python/PySpark
• Advanced proficiency in RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Extensive experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
• Ability to implement CI/CD pipelines and use Git for version control
• Experience with secure data connectivity tools and data visualization platforms
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Conduct feasibility studies and provide time and cost estimates for IT planning.
• Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including testing and implementation.
• Utilize specialty knowledge to analyze complex problems and evaluate business processes.
• Recommend and develop security measures post-implementation to ensure system functionality.
• Consult with users and technology groups to recommend advanced programming solutions.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards.
• Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
• Assess risk when making business decisions and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
