• Design the entire data foundation for the company's AI strategy.
• Implement a central repository to store vast amounts of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Leverage technologies to create a virtual data warehouse for querying data across different sources.
• Ensure the architecture can scale horizontally to handle petabytes of data and high volumes of concurrent queries.
• Lead the development of high-throughput data pipelines for AI systems.
• Use Apache Spark for large-scale data transformation and cleaning.
• Implement real-time stream processing using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
• Optimize data pipelines for low latency and high availability.
• Establish frameworks for data quality, provenance, and security.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Foster innovation and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in data and AI.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and business stakeholders.
