The Fixed Income Algo Technology team at Citi is seeking an experienced software engineer to enhance their algorithmic trading platform. This role involves developing low latency execution strategies and ensuring the reliability and performance of core components. The engineer will work closely with trading and quantitative teams to address business and technology challenges. Requirements
- 6-10 years of extensive Low Latency Java development experience in front office or trading.
- At least 2 years of extensive hands-on coding experience in Core Java within low latency, high throughput distributed applications.
- Experience with messaging technologies like Solace and Kafka.
- Strong software development fundamentals, including data structures, design patterns, and algorithms complexity analysis.
- Basic Linux system performance tuning and monitoring skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop reusable algo trading engines with a focus on low latency execution strategies.
- Ensure strong reliability, scalability, and performance of the core algo components.
- Work with other e-trading teams to support live trading.
- Learn and maintain a large code base, improving the design and quality of the algo trading strategies code.
- Partner with the business to drive the technology stack beyond near-term objectives.
