The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position focused on establishing and implementing new or revised application systems in collaboration with the Technology team. The role involves contributing to applications systems analysis and programming activities. The analyst will work on feasibility studies, risk technology, and application development to meet specific business needs. This position requires strong technical skills and the ability to operate with a limited level of supervision.

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 3+ years strong proficiency in Java and deep, hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and designing microservices with Spring Boot
• Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Working knowledge in analyzing Splunk data, developing queries and dashboards
• Experience with version control systems
• Understanding of software development best practices

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and IT planning.
• Monitor and control all phases of the development process including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
• Provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems and provide evaluations.
• Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis of business usage.
• Consult with users and other technology groups on issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts.
