The Lead Applications Development Engineer at Citi will operate at the Vice President level within the Wealth Investment Technology Advisory and Brokerage Organization. This role focuses on driving strategic platform and product development for the Wealth Advisory business, particularly through key initiatives like the BlackRock Portfolio Solutions partnership and Unified Managed Accounts. The successful candidate will leverage deep technical expertise and leadership skills to enhance client experiences and integrate innovative AI practices. This position requires a hands-on approach to front-to-back development using modern technologies.

• 6-10 years of progressive experience in applications development with a strong focus on hands-on, front-to-back engineering.
• Extensive experience with modern web development frameworks such as Angular, backend technologies like SpringBoot, messaging platforms including Kafka, and relational databases such as Oracle.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and successfully delivering complex, multi-year technology projects within a financial services or wealth management context.
• Proven interest and practical familiarity with AI tools and prompt-based engineering.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development principles.
• Exceptional leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication.

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and identify necessary system enhancements.
