Job description

The Technical Analyst role within the Rates Technology team at Citi focuses on delivering solutions for the Nonlinear Rates business. This global team supports Rates Trading desks and develops a comprehensive suite of Risk technology solutions. The position offers exposure to various asset classes in a Tier 1 investment bank. The ideal candidate will manage stakeholder relationships and drive the adoption of new quant models.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a Vice President role.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or .NET with a preference for C#.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced SQL queries and database management.
  • Experience in writing high-quality unit and integration tests.
  • Strong debugging skills using various IDE tools.
  • A background in Engineering or Mathematics is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct research and analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and Risk.
  • Exposure to Fixed income products and derivatives.
  • Experience working with virtual teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Trading Businesses to deliver large-scale projects.
  • Manage relationships with various stakeholders including Desk Heads and Business managers.
  • Define business requirements, functional specifications, and technical specifications.
  • Drive the adoption of new quant models and validate Risk valuations.
  • Build and roll out new products in the Risk Management systems.
  • Improve development processes including testing deliverables and reviewing controls.
  • Enhance the Engineering of the Technology platform.
