The Global Voice & Video Engineering Leader at Blackstone will lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade voice and video solutions. This role is part of the BXTI Enterprise Technology function and focuses on enhancing collaboration experiences through innovative technologies. The leader will manage platforms like Zoom and Crestron while ensuring high availability and security of voice and video systems. This position is critical for maintaining Blackstone's competitive edge as it expands globally.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in voice and video engineering leadership roles within large-scale enterprises.
- Deep expertise in platforms such as Zoom, Crestron, and other enterprise conferencing technologies.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Teams Video and Meeting experience.
- Proven track record of managing global engineering teams and complex technology ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of R&D processes, technology evaluation, and industry benchmarking.
- Experience in designing and implementing voice/video solutions for office and collaboration space buildouts.
- Familiarity with networking, security and infrastructure requirements for voice/video systems.
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global Voice and Video Engineering team within the BXTI Enterprise Technology function.
- Define and execute the engineering strategy for all voice and video technologies across the firm.
- Own the lifecycle of platforms such as Zoom, Crestron, and other conferencing solutions.
- Drive R&D initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to Blackstone.
- Benchmark Blackstone’s voice and video capabilities against industry peers to maintain competitive advantage.
- Oversee design and engineering for capital projects related to new office spaces globally.
- Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of voice/video solutions.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and governance for voice/video technologies.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for voice and video platforms and services.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of voice and video systems across all regions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for engineering designs, standards, and processes.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Lead capacity planning and performance optimization for voice and video infrastructure.
- Provide executive-level reporting on technology performance, roadmap, and innovation initiatives.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team to build a high-performing organization.
